Tickets Now on Sale For Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS & The Brain

Exhibition opens at COSI October 17, 2012

COLUMBUS, OH (September 14, 2012) – Tickets are now on sale for Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS & The Brain, an exhibition opening to the public at COSI Wednesday, October 17, 2012. This is the first time BODY WORLDS & The Brain has been in Ohio and the first time a BODY WORLDS exhibition has been offered in central Ohio. This exhibition includes a special feature that unravels the mystery of the mind and secret world of the brain.

No Boots Required – Farm Days Come to COSI

Learn what it takes to be a farmer on COSI’s English Plaza

8-14-12 (Columbus) – (Columbus) – COSI brings the farm to the city for the eighth year in a row, as Farm Days: Little Seeds, Big Tractors opens Wednesday, August 15th through Sunday, August 19th. During this event, more than 20 pieces of huge farming equipment will be arranged downtown on COSI’s English Plaza and Washington Blvd.

COSI Welcomes New Board Member

7-20-12 (Columbus) – Caroline C. Whitacre, Ph.D. has been named to COSI’s (The Center of Science and Industry) volunteer Board of Trustees. Dr. Whitacre serves as the Vice President for Research at The Ohio State University where she oversees the university’s efforts to stimulate new research and support ongoing activities which include $832 million in research expenditures. She resides in Victorian Village.

COSI Teams up with Doodle 4 Google 2012

COSI will Display State Finalist Doodles July 4, 2012

7.2.2012 (Columbus) – COSI will display ten state Finalists’ Doodle 4 Google 2012 doodles starting July 4, 2012. Doodle 4 Google is one of several efforts by Google to encourage and celebrate the creativity of young people by asking students to create their own Google doodle. The theme this year was “If I could travel in time, I’d visit…” Students from all over Ohio and the world entered the Doodle 4 Google contest which gives students a blank canvas to harness their curiosity and imagine past, present, and/or future anywhere in the world.

COSI Names New Vice Presidents

(Columbus) June 26, 2012 – COSI, The Center of Science and Industry, named Andy Zakrajsek Vice President of Operations and Experiences, and Azuka MuMin Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion. Both bring a variety of unique skills to the executive leadership team at COSI.
