Volunteers from the community play a crucial role in helping COSI to deliver inspiring and engaging science experiences. We accept volunteers from ages 12 through adult, from all backgrounds to deliver a wide variety of COSI experiences.
We will match your time commitment, talents and interests with COSI’s needs to find the perfect fit. Volunteers serve in a wide variety of roles: everything from working directly with guests in educator or guest relations roles to administrative, support, and skill based roles behind the scenes. We also offer college internships and work with groups on an as needed basis. Time commitments vary based on the role and needs.
Thank you for your interest in COSI’s Youth Volunteer Opportunities. We are no longer accepting applications for youth volunteers at this time. Please check back in March when we will re-open the youth volunteer application for opportunities that will begin this spring/summer. Please check here for other opportunities for teens.

COSI received over 100,000 hours by nearly 10,000 volunteers last fiscal year through a combination of on-site volunteers and thousands of parent volunteers who support the COSI on Wheels program. Volunteering at COSI is win-win for everyone!
