Rube Goldberg Machine Contest (High School)

COSI is looking for the thirty most talented teams of high-school engineers Ohio and surrounding states! Your high school is invited to compete in the upcoming 2015 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest, taking place at COSI in Columbus on Saturday, March 14th, 2015.

So just what is a Rube Goldberg Machine? A Rube Goldberg Machine is an overly complex contraption, designed to accomplish a simple task. For the 2015 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest, your teams task is simple: Erase A Chalkboard, and you're done! Of course, you've got to do the Rube Goldberg way. The best Rube Goldberg machines emulate their namesake using everyday items in a whimsical way to create a series of chain reactions that accomplish the simple task set forth for the annual competition. This year, that challenge is to erase a chalkboard.

The deadline for team entry is Saturday, February 14, 2015.

The team entry fee is $150. The contest is limited to just 30 teams. Each team must have a Teacher/Parent Advisor and at least three eligible members. Competition will begin at COSI (333 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH) promptly at 11:30 am on Saturday, March 14, 2013. The winning team at COSI will advance to The Rube Goldberg National High School Machine Contest!
