Special Events

Bring COSI On Wheels to your next special event! COSI On Wheels programs are perfect for highly-structured and educational settings, like summer camps, corporate family days, and large-scale Scout events. COSI On Wheels programs require a controlled environment where your participants and volunteers can interact and communicate.

Choose from six available COSI On Wheels programs: Current Conditions, Incredible Human Machine, Investigating Energy, It's Simply Chemistry, Astounding Astronomy, and Exploring Ecology. You may choose one of these topics and decide the type of programming you want for your event.

Please note that COSI On Wheels programs require a controlled environment and are not available for outdoor fairs and festivals open for extended periods to the general public. For these types of events, consider renting COSI's Science Spot traveling exhibition!

A $75 mileage fee applies for events held outside the Franklin and contiguous county area.

Reserve COSI On Wheels for Your Special Event

Option One: Program Demonstration Only

Option one includes the 45-minute, high-energy, COSI-led demonstration portion only of our program. For example, in COSI's Current Conditions program, COSI's "meteorologist" will help your attendees explore how weather affects life on Earth everyday and learn about technology used by today's top forecasters.

Option Two: Program Demonstration Plus 4-5 Hands-On Activity Stations

Option two combines the 45-minute high-energy demonstration with one or more hours of hands-on activities (4 to 5 activities). Schedule as many or as few hours of hands-on activities as you need! Please plan to provide a covered location, five six-foot tables, electricity, and 8-10 volunteers who will actively facilitate the hands-on activities throughout the entire event.

Option Three: Program Demonstration Plus 8-10 Hands-On Activity Stations

Option three combines the 45-minute high-energy demonstration with one or more hours of hands-on activities (8 to 10 activities). Schedule as many or as few hours of hands-on activities as you need. Please plan to provide a covered location, ten six-foot tables, electricity, and 15-20 volunteers who will actively facilitate the hands-on activities throughout the entire event.
