Students interact with two professional pharmacy students from Ohio State University’s College of Pharmacy as they become pharmacists and interact with a live patient to solve a challenging case study. In this case study, students determine whether they should fill a patient’s prescription for Vicodin© by conducting activities such as completing the patient’s clinical profile through live Q&A, analyzing drug monographs, decoding a prescription, filling a prescription, and counseling the patient. The session ends with a discussion about careers in healthcare as well as the professional pharmacy student’s educational paths.
Students should prepare questions in advance, based on the information sent to the teacher. These are a single point connection with just your class and the Expert.
$165 per program per school and includes a test connection, the session and biographical & subject information. Extra kits of materials (for classes larger than 30) may be purchased for $35 each.
